About

Robert Goldfarb’s interest in art started as a boy, when he was encouraged by his parents to participate in weekend workshops at the Art Students League. Later at Bard College, he studied painting and sculpture with Stefan Hirsch, Louis Schanker, and Harvey Fite. As an active member of the Art Students League, he studied painting with Robert Cenendella and Frank O’Cain. He has been making prints at the League for the past several years under the guidance of Rick Pantell. In addition he has participated in numerous workshops: the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM), The Truro Center for the Arts, the Woodstock School of Art, and the Longboat Key Center for the Arts (Ringling College of Art and Design).

His work is frequently shown at the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum. He has also exhibited his pieces at the Art Students League, Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, Kleinert/James Center for the Arts, Ogilvy & Mather, CBS, Bard College, NYU Langone Medical Center, and at the City Hall offices of the Manhattan Borough president. Many of his pieces are held in private collections.

“Rob” Goldfarb lives in New York City and Woodstock, New York. Prior to his retirement he was an executive in the broadcast industry, having worked at CBS, NBC, Viacom, and HBO.

Much of his work is signed “TINTA,” a shortening of his last name in Spanish, Tintadeoro, which means color of gold.
